How MapKAI Questions Are Designed
Inspired by UNESCO ISCED-F knowledge classification, MapKAI questions are built around real-world situations, systems, trade-offs, incentives, and everyday reasoning.
They are not designed for memorization. Many questions hold more than one reasonable explanation, so the goal is to notice patterns and build clearer mental maps.

As people grow older and become more socially adapted, they often receive fewer truly honest observations about themselves.
MapKAI reflections are not judgments. They are structured observations.

Quiz and reflection data
Quiz progress is not linked to a personal profile. The current exploration result is generated in your browser and can disappear when you leave or refresh.
Raw quiz records are not stored by default. If temporary quality checks are introduced later, records should be anonymized, aggregated, or deleted regularly, preferably within 30 days.
Aggregated statistics may be used to improve questions and site experience if they are not linked to personal profiles.
Contact is optional
If you send a contact message, MapKAI uses it only to respond to you. Contact messages are separate from quiz progress and should be reviewed or deleted periodically.
Please avoid sharing highly sensitive personal information in the message box.
Technical processing
Basic technical logs may exist through hosting and security providers such as Cloudflare.
MapKAI uses browser storage for small product states such as language preference, Founder mode state, and visitor-count continuity. See the Cookies page for more detail.

If MapKAI introduces new features, accounts, or data practices in the future, this page should be updated clearly.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for the current MapKAI experience. If this changes, we will update this page clearly and request consent where required.
Current approach
The current code audit did not find advertising scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics tags.
MapKAI uses localStorage for language preference, Founder mode state, a local visitor id used by the visitor counter, and temporary interface state. The audit did not find sessionStorage usage. The repository also includes email-auth endpoints that can set a short-lived login challenge cookie if those endpoints are configured and used; this is not required for the current public exploration flow.
Hosting and security providers may still process basic technical logs when pages or API routes are requested.
Managing storage
You can clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Clearing localStorage may reset language preference, visitor-count continuity, and local interface state.
